I am reminded why it is that I do NOT straighten my hair!

I can't tell you how much time I have spent on straightening my hair since last night... and it STILL looks fuzzy!

ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHH!

I used to do it back in the day and although I remember it being time-consuming I dont remember it looking like shit.

I put product in it, my hair feels nice and soft but it is fuzzy! The weather isn't humid... :(

I just felt like a change, wanted to feel pretty. My kids said, "You look pretty mommy (bless their little lying hearts) but I like you better with curly hair."

...hopefully it will look better after I do my bullshit workout and hit it with the iron AGAIN.

Werd..have you tried some straighening products to put in before you start drying your hair? I use laminates gel by Sebastian and it works wonderfully. I live in super humind weather and it really helps, might want to try some. It makes your hair silky and smooth.

I put Freida's anti-frizz after shower shizzle, then I put StickStraight by Graham Web before I blew it out and took the straightener to it. I then put some Biosilk on the ends this AM after taking the straightening iron to it again. The iron IS ceramic (which is supposed to be better than metal). By Vidal Sassoon.... I have to say it heated up VERY quickly and cooled off much more quickly as well...

Also I did spray biosilk spary onto the round metal brush and brushed each section after hitting it with the iron.

My hair feels VERY silky and is shiny, but it is more frizzy than not.

I'll try the stuff you mentioned. Thanx for the tip. :)

i feel your pain...i don't even bother straightening my hair anymore. takes about an hour and if there is the slightest bit of humidity or rain, i am screwed :worried:

anyone have a ceramic straightening iron? They protect the hair from heat damage far better than hot metal. Not sure where to get one though or how expensive they are. My hair is both curly and thick which makes it a bitch to straighten, and by the time fall arrives every year my do is fried from the iron.

mine is the same way. i had it relaxed and its still curly, but now its just thick and wavy. i straighten it sometimes, but i learned that i can't expect it to be STRAIGHT... i have to style it somehow and give it some height and direction.
its really long right now, and that makes it harder to blow out.

I love curly hair and used to get mine permed. Well, a couple of years ago I lost all of my hair from a perm...now I just go with what I've got and learned to be thankful. LOL It's just now getting to the length where I can put it up again. :)
