i think i'll be leaving for bootcamp in october, what kind of training should i be doing. as of now, started a week ago, i've been doing endurance training. i ran a mile and a half yesterday, and tomorrow i'll kick it up to a mile and three quarters. every other day is another lap. monday wed. fri. i run and tuesday i do push ups, and thursday i do pull ups. sit up on both days. is this a good way to train for boot camp?

Which branch did you choose?
If you picked the best one. Then congrats.
Don't worry about getting inshape for bootcamp. Most guys that show up can't even do 10 correct push ups. It's not hard. You just have to want to do it. Pride will get you along way. The pride in doing what you want and getting to wear the best uniform.

The only thing I recommend is to not hurt yourself running. Get in great cardio shape. Burn some fat and do alot of push ups, leg lifts, flutter kicks, and abs.

What job did you choose?

i've pretty well decided to go marines, but there's it still may not be set in stone. it all depends if my national guard unit will let me go. i'm getting the release form today. i just really want to be in tip top shape. i figure when i break down physically, is when i'll break down mentally.
