I totally understand, but I'm trying to also bring the whole thing into perspective. This is an educated bunch and half of the things that come up on this board (more than half!) are the result of myths perpetuated by lack of education in fitness and the media. Weight is nothing but a number which measure the earth's gravitational attraction to you as a mass on the surface. But we read soo much into what that number implies that it becomes the source of disorders like anorexia, etc.
Its just a freekin number. If you can use it to add to quantifying changes or as I'm using for my diet, then it has a purpose. (BTW this is how my trainer determines diet adjustments every 3 days for all his clients, regardless of competition training or not.) You don't record the number of miles your car traveled every day and then freak out when it exceeds 20.
