My best was like 455, but that was many years ago when I had a good back. I rarely go over 275 now. My back cant take the pressure of all that weight. Thank god for the hack squat and leg press..
OMG you guys must be giant. I have touble squatting 190lb.(which is all the weight I own anyway) with only a 20lb bar. Everyone else here does like 5-700. Am I really that weak or does equipment really make that big a difference(or both?)?
It takes time, you don't wake up one day ands suddenly you're able to squat 2-3 times your BW. Add weight to the bar in small increments, over a years time it adds up.
I have'nt maxed in a while but I can do 385lbs about 5 times, Blah blah excuses blah blah blah bad knees blah blah bad back blah blah excuses blahblah.......
Don't really do 1 rep maxes, but on a 5x5 scheme, @ parallel last set is 255. ATF in a 3x10 scheme, last set is 195. I guess I'd estimate my 1 Rep Max to be about 275 - 300.
