How much calories per day to repair sore muscle? And feasability to cut with it

I have been trying to figure out how much calories per day it takes to repair muscle, like for instance deadlifts. My hams, upper/lower back, and traps are sore, so how many calories per day does that take up to repair? I am usually sore for a few days.

I ask that because I figure that, on a caloric defecit diet, combined with being very sore from the gym, that would be a pretty good way to cut right? How catabolic would that be? If at all, providing I am getting high protein, moderate fat, low carbs?

Which would be burning more in that diet, fat, or muscle?

I have always taken in x amount of carbs right after a workout to replenish glycogen stores and feed the muscles (along with my protein). There are formulas out there on the net that shows how much carbs you need for recovery. This is based on your weight. My weight is 212 and my carbs are 50 for post workout. These need to be fast acting carbs such as orange juice. Now, I used to be a cyclist. After interval sprints or after leg weights, I used to spin on a bike. You can just do a light spin (so you don't really do cardio and burn cals) on a stationary bike to "flush" the lactic acid build-up in your muscles. This needs to be done right after a workout. Flushing the lactic acid out with fresh blood with curb or eliminate DOMS (day onset muscle soreness). I do not know if I really address your question, but hopefully it helps. Good luck, Geoff

Well when cutting i do body weight times 12. I put my carbs around my workout and I train DC style which is very intense but Im usually sore for only 1 day after. Im always recovered by the next workout. Like the previous poster said, riding the bike will flush lactic acid and make u recover faster. Also look into stretching each muscle after u train them. I never thought it would help but its part of the DC workout and I feel it helps recovery.
