Is it still important to do my cardio in the morning on empty stomach while in ketosis or can i do it later in the day. Does it matter as far as fat burning. I have been doing 50 minutes a day in the morning or low intensity, but would rather do it in the late afternoon if it was not crucial.

Don't be lazy, get up and do the morning cardio. lol. Yes you should do it in the morning on an empty stomach because you will burn the most body fat. By the afternoon, you have already eaten and your stomach will be looking for any fat to burn, not just body fat, so all fat eaten is fair game when it comes to using it as energy. Here's some other reasons to get up and do it earlier:

1) You will speed up your metabolism the rest of the day exercising in the morning.

2) You will have more energy th erest of the day.

3) You get it over with bright and early and have the rest of the day to looking forward to, no worrying about having to do it later.

4)Sometimes people blow exercising off completly when they are doing it late in the day because they are too tired, or have too many things to do and tell themselves they have no time to do it.

It does help to burn a higher amount of stored bodyfat, as compared to dietary fat that you would be burning during the afternoon workouts. So, overall, in the aspect of fat-burning I would say morning cardio is most beneficial.

1) You will speed up your metabolism the rest of the day exercising in the morning.

that is not true, low-intensity cardio will only burn the calories on the duration of the exercise; only high-intensity will help speed up the metabolic rate

2) You will have more energy th erest of the day.

Not always true, morning cardio, for some people, becomes the ultimate anti-christ because they cannot perform at their usual pace during the day

3) You get it over with bright and early and have the rest of the day to looking forward to, no worrying about having to do it later.

Yup, that's true...dont' have to sit around and think about grueling cardio

4)Sometimes people blow exercising off completly when they are doing it late in the day because they are too tired, or have too many things to do and tell themselves they have no time to do it.
Again, very good point Myth...I see you are learning very well

.. a must

I didn't actually start seeing 'fast' results until I kicked in morning cardio for 30 minutes every morning as soon as I woke up.

I think it's even more important for those folks who do not have active 'mid morning, afternoon, early evening activities', like my job, I'm behind a computer from mid morning to early mid evening, so I feel like *shit* if I don't do morning cardio, because i won't be able to work out until I get home that evening.

Then again it's all about what works with your diet plan and how quickly ( or not ) you want to see results.

Also making myself wake up that early to do morning cardio just gives me a better feeling than having slept away the morning and rushing to get to work.

Yea I always wake up really early, do 45 mins on my stationary bike, then fall asleep and wake up a couple hours later to start one hell of a hectic day. Definatly makes you tired in a non lethargic way. It's like warm milk.

i actually find morning cardio helps me control my appetite
