home gyms...do you have one??

used to have one back when i was in high school....(almost 10yrs ago)

I got a fairly cheap all purpose rack thing for about 90 bucks, and use that for benching and sqats and whatever

weider 310lb olympic barbell set

plain flat bench

cheesey weider bench with a lat pulldown and everything...(broke that real quick)

some cheesy plastic cement filled plates for dumbells

a couple of cheap mirrors

Barbie Twins poster

stereo with tape deck

seems you can get much better equipment much easier these days....but it got the job done.

now i go to the gym.

Let's see, between the two locations we have:

2 power racks
2 benches (and another on the way)
3 olympic barbells
1 Texas power bar
1 Safety Squat bar
Glute/Ham/Calf Raise (and another on the way)
Reverse Hyper (and another on the way)
6x9x10 deadlift platform
2 multi purpose "lat pull down style" cable machines
400+ pounds of dbs
(4) 100 pound plates
Close to 2000 pounds of other weights
Chains
Bands galore
Boxes for squatting (6)
2 each of 2, 3, 4, and 5 board press
Sled for dragging (another on the way)
A Variety of curl bars
Forearm hammer/bar

Also in the works:

2 Monolifts
2 Deadlift jacks

...and a sled mill :) This is my pet project. A treadmill in front of a 5'x2'x10" frame filled with rock and gravel to simulate sled dragging on rough terrain, indoors.

Hm...I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff.

Yep. We have a dip squat belt and we're building a dip squat stand.

1 T-bar row

That is badass.

LOL

My home gym Consist of the Chuck Norris machine, I know it's not power, but hey guys I'm 30 with an 18 month old son and a wife (limited time), so I'm just after staying tone. For anyone of you looking for something like this I do highly recommend it. I've had it about a year and a half, but as we all know it's still hard work, it won't keep you fit just from buying it (as the commercial says).

34 yrs old, 3 1/2 month old son and a wife. We work opposite shifts, so we both struggle for time as well. My son joins me in the garage when needed.

My garage:
Power cage
incline/decline/w/leg attachment bench
custom made 1 1/2" thick BB
custom made 21" DB with 1 1/2" handles
600-700 lbs in weights
smith machine with pulley system. (Don't ask, but the pulley systems is about all that gets used now.:D)
dip/pullup station
various handles and bars for cable setup on smith machine
chains, ropes, and a tire

Coming soon:
"lat pulldown style" cable machine
set of 3/8" chains
light, medium, and heavy bands
seated calf raise
shit-canning of the smith machine:D

Thank you.:) It's actually MY second, by my wife and I's first.

Yes, I remember those days. Child proofing is an art form. The garage may be off limits, but I know that he and I will find a way to work my workouts in.:) Right now, I work out during his early morning nap. Works for the time being.....:)

If I had the spare cash I'd probably put together a home gym. I work for a Gold's Gym now, so I get a free membership. That's good enough in the meantime. :)

I have 2 dumbells with about 35lbs worth of plates, my brother has a Weider combo bench, with a barbell and some 100lb of plates.

I guess I could beef it up one day and train at home :)

Love home gym`s. I have In my basement which Is (berber)carpeted but I have a couple of 1/2inch thick rubber mats. It`s brand new with a dropped ceiling and recessed lights 4ft X10ft mirror.

Dumbell racks, plate racks
Dumbells up to 100`s
3 Olympic bars They came as 330?/something pound sets X$100 each so well over 1000 pounds of Olympic plates
couple of standard bars and standard dumbells, curl bar tricep bar
several hundred pounds standard plates (2-50`s are the max I have in those)
1 utility flat bench (no uprights) 1 incline decline bench with preacher (no uprights)
1 Olympic bench w/leg ext and curls.
Smith machine- I lift alone don`t laugh. actually not really using it much lately.
Lat machine with low row. no need for cable change is good.
supported back row machine
Diamondback recumbent bike-It`s like gym quality.

That`s about it (I can`t fit anything else lol)

A few months ago when my daughter was 3-6 months old My wife and I would take turns doing a set and then get the baby handed to us. One set I hold the baby the other set she holds the baby. You gotta do whatchu gotta do.
