Bfold, remmeber you posted thoes partial deadlift videos of Schoonie (where he struggled with that deadlift for like 20 seconds). That was 18" deadlift right? Is that harder or easier than the tires. How much do you think you can do on that?

They were pulling from either 15 or 16". Not 18...huge difference. You never know what you can pull on that till you get up there and do it...but I think I could have done 800+ that way...maybe more...closer to 9 maybe.

Never done the tires...

B: That's exactly it.

Some of the guys thought that it would be much easier; that their pulls (no matter how much more they were pulling), would be lickity split. I'm very sure you would have pulled a HUGE tired dead, B. There's just no doubt about that!!!

People also have to take into consideration the height of the lifter (there were some tall guys out there), and your weak point in the dead.

However that, there were some mighty big lifts happening. I do have to say that tire deads make for a fun event for the spectators.

Congrats Slinky nice job. I got to see Shannon doing the highland games a couple of years here in colorado. She is a very impressive athlete.

Cheers,
