gylcerol low carb bars

I have a question concerning the ketogenic diet and low carb bars. I want to take low carb bars such as "myoplex low carb" or "utimate low carb" on the ketogenic diet. The bars say on the nutrition info something like 25 grams carbs per bar, but only apply the 3 grams of those carbs( which are called "net carbs" ) to your daily carb intake. These really help me curb my sweet tooth since the bulk of my meals are meat, fish, and lettuce. My question is by eating one of these bars at a time will it take me out of ketosis. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanx

I don't think most of those bars are your best option, due to alot of the bad ingrediants. Sorb and Carb Solutions, both make low carb bars that taste like real chocolate and do not have alot of the less desirable ingrediates than companies such as EAS and Muscletech put into theirs. Also bear in mind the high protien bars may very well put your out of ketosis due to too much protien and not enough fat, despite the carbs and sugar alcohols having minimal impact on blood sugar and insulin response.

I used to live under that theory as well. Then, I watched my buddy train his ass off...eat chx and green beans for 20 weeks, and win one the biggest compt. in Ohio....all by the way of treating himself almost every single night before bed to one of those thick as MetRx food bars........enough said........

So, they are cool on any other type of diet??? Once and for all? The low sugar ones of course.........
