This was a brochure in the muscle media 2000 magazine in the may 1997 issure, its was written by a Sean .......something. In it was a chart which showed and intricate system to benching the proper weights each day. i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of where i could find that chart.

thanks S

I gave that a try about 2 years back I think. I put about 20 pounds on my bench in a month or so, nothing spectacular.

are you kidding? I would be glad to get 20lbs on my bench in a month

by the way I remeber that article. I think it involved doing chest twice a week. I know the guy said to do reverse peramid sets. he said to first find your 1 rep max then gave percentages of what to start with. He also said to not do legs for the whole time

What I meant was it was nowhere near the outrageous claims. 15-20 pounds on your 1rm is a lot different than 30-40.

lol

I thought he was making a joke post and I would open it and it would say "well do fina or test!!!"

Anyway, I tried the program back in 97 and it was decent. Pretty sound. Deals with negatives, doubles, triples and a day you do a weight as many times as you can from 2-5 times(a weight you previously did for a double or something!)

The program was originally titled "How To put 40 lbs On Your Bench In Just 6 Weeks." It became 50 lbs in a later version. It was written by Sean Phillips... Bill Phillips older brother. If you look on the old Muscle Media website it may be in their archives. It was originally published in MM2K in '93-95... somewhere in there.
