I am getting married and will be gaining a husband and 3 step children. This is quite an adjustment for me. I'm not used to having children. How do you moms and wives stay on your diets and cook for a large family? I love to cook, but I don't want the kids and hubbie to moan about my diet food...lol.

Actually, if you make a "mostly" healthy meal with a side item that is a normal junk type thing like mac n cheese or twice baked potatoes or something they probably won't complain. Make it healthy enough that you can get your foods you need out of it and then make a side dish that you won't touch. Slowly but surely ween out the junk.

My hubby is in on this life style with me and my kids are young enough that I just make them deal, but I do make them junk every once and a while, and they still have sugary cereal for breakfast so they are not completely deprived.
 
Thanks! THat is good advice! I will just make mainly fish and chicken with sides of veggies and then something that I will be dying to eat, but I won't...lol.

They will get use to it. I do allow my family 2 nights a week of things I don't eat and then I just fix myself something different. That's my way of working with them.
