basically I started caring less about eating right cause I got the feeling that Im missing something or not doing something right . so today it reflected in my practice.

I can eat about 5-6 meals a day but can you help me figure out when I should eat carbs/proteins etc.

so basicaly here is the plan

around 9 is my breakfast time

11am Im eating some more

1pm Im eating again(this one is the meal before practice)

then I have an intense basketball practice(2:30 long, followed by 20 minute weightroom routine and some cardio, basically lots of running/jumping)

at 5:30 pm is my next SOLID meal

then at 8 is my last meal before I go to bed

right now Im out of protein/creatine so all I have is natural food.

anyway can you tell me whens the best time to consume carbs, protein, etc etc

I'm not trying to lose fat or anything just trying to perform at my best during practice...

some stats are

6'6'' 213lbs(came down from 230)
19

I dont eat junk food, mostly natural stuff cooked by me

around 9 is my breakfast time
9am
1 cup oatmeal
4 whole eggs, 2 egg whites
1 tbsp. of all natural Peanut butter

11am Im eating some more
2 lean chicken breasts,
1 cup of yams or sweet potatoes
1 tbsp. olive oil over a large salad

1pm Im eating again(this one is the meal before practice)
NOTE: hard meal since I prefer liquids before the workout but you don't have any protein left....
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 slices bakon
2 whole eggs
1 medium baked potato
3 tbsp. honey

then I have an intense basketball practice(2:30 long, followed by 20 minute weightroom routine and some cardio, basically lots of running/jumping)

at 5:30 pm is my next SOLID meal

12oz. of lean beef (eye round or NY steak)
4 oz. wheat pasta (if cannot find use normal pasta)
2 cups of green veggies
1 Peanut butter and jelly sand - use all natural peanut butter

then at 8 is my last meal before I go to bed
NOTE: if you can buy some psyllium husk fiber, we could cut out the late night veggies...
1 lean chicken breast no skin (6oz.)
1 large salad w/ 1 tbsp. olive oil on top
add 2 cups of broccoli
1 stick of celery

thanks a lot.. thats about what I was doing but I started skipping meals

by the way do you know if instead of eating oatmeal at 1pm I can replace it with one of those oatmeal bars? they contain about 35grams of carbs, 6grams of protein(im in school at 1 and cant cook oatmeal and eating it called doesnt sound right)

everything else seems managable though

also on some days I know that theres not gonna be enaugh time to cook up some of that stuff in early am before school so do you think some of them are replacable with sandwiches or something more simple? like coocked lean chicken breast and put it on a wheat bread instead of eating yams?

oh yea and what about fruit? I eat some fruit mostly in the morning.. like apples and bananas, sometimes oranges maybe

if you have to you can since you're in school

you can make a chicken breast sandwich but use whole wheat bread w/ at least 2-3 g fiber per slice

I suggest against fruit, but you can add 1-2 bannanas to your pre-training meals.

When you say 1 cup of oats...are you saying one cup dry? That would be tough in itself......I use 1/2 cup of steel cut with 2 cups of water and it fills a pretty damn big bowl......+ it's about 35carbs......x2 would be 70..yeah, I'm a math major...I know.....
