Felt pop in chest when squatting!!!!

i had the same thing happen doing heavy weighted dips...i think its your sternom...mine hurt like a bitch for weeks and i couldnt lift heavy weight

pop 1000 mg of liquid advil before and after you work out and you'll be fine. i hurt my bicep one time, missed one bicep day, did this for two weeks, and everything was okay. i think the lifting helped it heal, its just the pain you have to get through. good luck.

just go to the doctor NOW, no sense in waiting, one of my biggest regrets when i hurt my shoulder bad was not seeing the doctor about it. it took a long time to heal and it still hurts a little bit today!

bro it is the sternum, i had fractured mines in two parts at 15 years old i am 36 and i hear it pop from time to time, but its just the body adjusting itself.

NOT THE STERNUM!!! It's around the collar bone, and i don't think you guys understand what kind of a pop it was. it isn't like a shoulder crack or anything like that. it was a one time thing. like a mucsle popping out of place.

I would have to say that the shoulder is the most complex joint/muscle-bundle/tendon/ligament. You would be best getting an MRI. RC, AC problems can be serious I know first hand about both and surgery on both, scope and major exploratory.

MRI advice-take a valium so you can easily relax when crammed in the little tube, even in an open MRI you need to be STILL to get a definitive picture.

Good luck.

Insurance has covered all of mine, neck, knees, shoulder 3 xs, but I have pretty good insurance. Infact after the $15 copay, the referal and MRI was covered under the same copay, even the surgeries.

If you're in TX I can give you an a couple of excellent sports minded orthos.

If you could i would really apprecitate it. I'm in North Dallas. Around Lewisville and Irving if that helps. Cheers
