I have to lose 45 lbs according to my doctor, I can't do cardio and any other exercises that involve my legs because of my weight I have serious knee joint issues, what upper body exercises can I do to start loosing weight with my diet? thank you.
Try swimming. I have worked with a lot of obese clients before and I always recommend swimming. It's a great full body exercise that is VERY low impact.
If you are new to swimming, buy yourself some water wings and use a paddle board.
Have with it. Spend a couple hours at the pool. Alternate between doing laps and sitting in the hot tub.
Adjustments to your diet will have the greatest impact. When it comes to exercise, whatever you can do will help. If that is just doing some light upper body workouts then that is great. Like I said, just worry about the diet for now.
