Due to health reasons...

Due to health and other reasons, I decided to change my diet. I do not want to lose muscle, so I am posting it here to get your reactions.

No dairy - I believe that most people are allergic to it after they are wheened. Milk is for little cows, not humans.

No wheat - I believe that wheat is a recent human invention in the whole evolution process and most people are allergic to it. It is proven that there was a serious turn down in health as soon as humans invented bread.

No red meat - Pork and beef require a different digestive process that requires bacteria, has to many byproducts, to fatty and takes to long to digest.

Basically, the diet is the way we were invented or evolved to be. What ever you can pick from the tree or ground or can kill. McDonalds drive through does not count.

I am eating a ton of raw veggies, fruits, soy, free range chicken and eggs, ocean fish and brown rice.

I get enough protein per day from my sources, eat lots of fiber, cut out all simple sugars and my only carb source is brown rice.

Ok, what is your opinion? What should I expect? What should I add? Benefits? What do I need to supplement?

Diet is mainly asian foods, Japanese and Thai.

Milk is fine unless you're lactose intolerant...good source of calcium and casein. I don't really follow your argument against beef...lean cuts of red meat are fine and have heats of vitamins and minerals.

Also you say your only carb source is brown rice but above that you say you eat veggies, fruits and soy all of which have carbs.

id include some oatmeal thats a very good source of carbs...also id bend the diet a bit for post workout nutrition you want to get a mixture of carbs, protein and an insulin spike im not sure you can optimize this with your diet restrictions

Bro, I hate to tell you I don~t like this diet. I live in Japan and obviously eat and pretty normal Japanese Diet, it has some great benefits. BUT, Japanese also know that no meat is not good. I believe it^s all in moderation. I also must note that I am not sure of your goals: Are you trying to bulk up or trim down? Are you working out and using gear? If you are wanting to lose fat eating basically only loads of veggies and fruit is not the way to go because they are loaded with sugars and carbs. You have to eat fat in order to lose fat. Mr X. is the diet expert but he has lots of advice to give. Sorry to ramble on but plesse be more specific to your goals and that determines what kind of diet you should eat.

Thanks guys.

I am looking to gain just a bit more weight, back up to where I was, which should be easy. I am fairly trim as it is, so this diet is more of a way of life and maintenance.

I may start eating beef once or twice a week.

I wonder how much damage we inflict on ourselves by elevating our blood acid levels by eating so much dairy and protein.
