Does creatine expire ever for real?

I got a bucket of creatine a few years ago when i was training and dieting for bulking purposes. I had an accident and I had to stop my training program. That creatine was sitting around like for 3 years and it does show an expiration date on the label of April 2016 , does creatine really expire or ever does it go bad ? i want to get back to the gym and I would like to take it since it is almost new, I barely started it. Thank you all.

Although it should be fine as long as you stored it properly (away from direct sunlight, and without exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture). However, @stevesmi has a very valid point there - creatine is one of the cheapest supplements, so I would rather get rid of the old creatine, and get myself some new one.

Supplements don't really expire. They have a best before date. As a supplement ages, it looses potency. It doesn't become rancid or anything like that.

Your creatine is still safe to use. It might be slightly less potent then a product that isn't expired but it is still safe to use.

It is only recently expired so I would use it as long as it has not been exposed to moisture. If you are not sure then just dump it...creatine is so cheap you can easily replace it for like $10.
