Does anyone else enjoy free weight squats.

I used to hate squatting with a passion, now I can't wait for leg day. I enjoy front squatting as much as regular squats. I think I've finally gone sideways I guess.:spin:

I didn't start liking squats till I started doing ATF squats. Stopping on the way down always felt wierd to me. ATF feels so much more natural on my knees... plus it makes me feel like I'm really hitting my legs right.

Now I like squating... but I LOVE deadlifting.

I'll pull anything off the floor.
 
i have mixed emotions about squats. like sofageorge said, i loves me some deadlifting. however when it comes to squats, usually on the drive to the gym on leg day i'm going...oh shit, the pain be comin shortly and will remain for the next 4 days. i enjoy the hoss factor in that i feel barbaric while i'm doing them and that so few other people are squatting with A) as much weight (not that it's impressive on this board, but at my candy ass gym it is) as i am and B) as low as I go. i did legs last night and it was fairly brutal. the part that sucks about squats is that if you're doing them with the right intensity, you're not going to be walking normally for several days. while i like what i get out of doing them, the amount of pain and soreness you go through for the next few days is kind of a bitch. but i still pound them out every week and just curse the squat rack when i have to do anything that involves moving a quad or two.
 
whatever - I'd like to see you do 50lbs on the leg extensions!

I can do over 20lbs on one leg!

squats my ass.

actually, "squats" would be a good name for a dog.
 
It'd have to be a bulldog.

I like doing atfs they can be pretty brutal.
 
up until about 1 1/2 ago I never really works legs like I did my upper body so they where lagging really bad but Ive been hitting them hard lately and wow I love them. I'm making some really good gains and now my body looks much better. I love any kind of power exersize exept deads they kill my back.
