Do Your Legs Grow Bigger With High Reps Or Low Reps or a Combination?

I know everyone grows differently when it comes to rep range but as far as legs go do you guys go for the low reps/heavy weights like 8-6-4 or do you grow bigger legs burning your muscles up with high reps/moderate weight, something like 15-12-10. Or do you guys alternate heavy days with light days?

Also in regards to triceps I've heard the only way to make them grow is through high reps/heavy weight without sacrificing form.
I'd like to hear some of your responses as to what works great for you. Arnold used to always do high reps like in the 50's and look at the size of his arms.

I know that the main thing to keep constantly growing is to always increase the weight and go balls to the wall assuming everything else is perfect(diet, rest, drugs etc.)

In my experience, my legs (and the rest of my body too) grow from hard work. Whether it be heavy or light, intensity seems to be the key for me. :)

Higher and lower reps. Lately though I have been doing higher reps for legs like 315 on the squat for 21 full reps. My quads are 29 inches so I think I'm doing something right. I also don't do alot of sets for legs either. Usually no more than 5 work sets.(not counting warm-ups) ;)

I have a hard time finding what works best for my legs. I think moderate weight, higher reps work better for me.

As for triceps, mine respond well to all types of training. Dropsets, supersets, tri-sets, heavy weight, light weight... as long as I don't let up on how hard I work them.

If I work with a lighter weight, and high reps for one of my workouts, I still push to my absolute limit. And I think that's what is key in their development.

I don't think mine would look how they do with really heavy, low rep sets however.

I think you'll just have to find whats right for you. My thighs started out at 21inches, and by the time I was squating only 225lbs for 5 or so reps, they were 27inchs. For me they grow easy no matter the weight, or reps. I'm starting to find everyone needs to find what just works for them. All the different opinions and articles confuse me!

I squat 3 days a week. (mon, wed and sat)
monday is usually 6 sets of 3
wednesday is 6-8 sets of 1
sat is 4-6 sets of 2.

my quads are 29 inchs

You have a good work ethic, but, I'd venture to say that if you cut that to one-two days a week, they'd grow even bigger. Not a flame, anyone who squats 3xweek has a good work ethic, that would just be way overtraining for ME and most others.

i believe both will work, 80% of the time u go heavy, but about once every 6 weeks, i go light, so, i think mixing it up really helps alot

Not necessarily. It depends what you do. I'm squatting thrice weekly, but I don't go heavy all the time. A lot of Olympic lifters even squat 6 times in a week.
