Allright, there's this girl at work that has been flirting with me quite a bit over the past few days. I'd like to ask her out now, but the one thing that I absolutely hate is doing it in front of other people. For some reason I don't have a problem asking someone out if there's an opportunity, but if there's other people within earshot, I just can't seem to do it. (Yeah, I'm a fag I guess)

Anyway, she's a bit of a smartass, which I love, so I was thinking of just drawing up a lil something on a paper bag like you'd get in elementary school

I'd title it "3rd grade questionnaire"

and then have "I like you, do you like me? (check one)"
with Yes, No, and Maybe as options.

Then I'd walk up to her, hand it to her, smile, and walk away.

Cheesy? Yes, but if it ever were to happen to me I'd laugh my ass off and they'd win major points. I like a sense of humor.

Should I try that, or just force my balls to drop and make myself ask her out the old fashioned way. (God I don't want to do it in front of all her little co-workers though...)

Call her on the phone where you are both within sight of each other but since you are on the phone, nobody else is a part of the conversation. When you are talking to her, tell her that you wanted this conversation to be private, then ask away. The cool part is that you can still watch her react and have some of the face-to-face interactions doing this.

Yes, the casual invite. Let her know that you will be going there regardless of whether or not she shows up. That makes it more of an easygoing and casual invite for both of you. Something like, "Today's thursday and I (or "we" meaning co-workers or something) usually stop in for a beer at (wherever) after work on thursdays (or whatever day you want to choose). YOu should stop in there tonight after work and buy me a drink!" Of course, say the "...buy me a drink!" part in a smartass way to keep the conversation light, plus you said she was a smartass so she should appreciate that!

Fucking lame immature way of conveying your intentions in my opinion. Pull her aside or create a circumstance where the two of you are together and then tell her. Simple as that. Fuck it, you got nothing to lose however; if you conveyed your intentions like a school boy and she doesn't take a liking to it, she may tell/show everyone what you did. That wouldn't be too good for your ego, now would it?

I did something similar at work. The girl I liked had a pen that she never let out of her site. Well she lost it. So I left a note for her to call me or she would never see her pen again. Well she ended up calling. But the shit I got at work almost wasn't worth it. I thought it wold be cute to leave a ransom note, others thought it was lame. She dug it though.

This is the route I would go... Or you could just ask her if she want to have sex in the work elevator... That line always works..... She might say "Yes"
