Do you wait until week 3 of your cycle to REALLY start to eat?

Since a pure test cycle starts to really kick in around week 3, should you wait to up your caloric intake until around then? It seems to me that if you start to eat massive amounts before you're ready to make the gains that you'd just increase bf%. Also, since you test levels will be rising before that the slightly less intake for the first few weeks may cut you up a bit.

Am I totally off base?
 
the only time i change the amount i eat is when i change the amount of time i spend in the gym.. doesnt matter if i'm on or off really..

when i'm hitting it every fucking day i'm eating like a fucking animal.. right now i've been working some fucked up schedules at work and havent hit the gym in over a month, and i've lost almost 20lbs but i'm eating WAY less also
 
I am sure that many wouldn't agree with it. I started my cylce at the end of a cutter. I was taking in about 25-2700 cals in a day. I started slowly taking in more every 3 days till I got to my current bulking cals at week 3. I did notice some fat loss after going well over maintenance. I cut cardio out 3 weeks before the cycle and was only lifting. I dont know if it was the test in my sytem as it obviously hadn't kiked in. I noticed some fat loss.

If you bulk intelegently you will not add fat fast. I have been bulking for 5 weeks and have minimal fat gain. My electric body fat scale says that I have gone down while gaining 5 lbs. It is somewhat accurate for bf%, but it is good for gauging bf% gain.

I remember you posting your cals during cycle and If I remember it sounded like you were cutting? How many cals you shooting for?
 
If you're bulking, you're bulking.. the instant you decide you wanna gain some serious mass is when you should start eating some serious food..

Will the extra protein and cals help when the test kicks in? Sure.. but why not take the cycle as a cycle.. i mean, you dont count the cycle as being from weeks 3-10..it's 1-10, so start eating big at week 1!

Excellent question!

I personally think gradually eating more week by week until the test kicks in.
For example
Week 1 = 3,500 cal
Week 2 = 4,000 cal
Week 3 = 4,500 cal

I like doing it like this because sometimes it is hard for me to eat 4,500 clean calories. I have to work my way up. It's rather easy for me to eat 4,500 calories of pizza/burgers/fries...but clean calories takes readjusting for me.
 
You should start EATING once you start your cycle not when the compound kicks in...for some that may be weeks 3-4 for others 5-6...so your going to not eat until then is just a waste of your time and gear. Bottom line that it doesnt matter if your going to gain body fat now or then...its in what your eating...just cause you waited 3 weeks to pig out doesnt mean you wont gain body fat, you may think not as much, but think of it as in terms of gains as well....
 
Another good point swordfish. Just because gear takes some weeks to kick in doesn't mean it is not working in week 1.
