Do cheat meals screw your entire day over?

Normally I will eat 7 clean meals a day, but on occasion I will cheat. Heres my question.

Lets say for meal 5 I eat an entire large pizza. Would it be better for me to not eat a meal 6 and 7? Or should I continue the every 2-3 hour schedule and eat a clean 6 and 7?

Furthermore lets say I cheat early in the day, like one of meals 1 to 3. After the cheat meal should I eat resume my schedule and eat a clean meal 2-3 hours later? Or since it was an unhealthy binge, should I wait maybe 4-5 hours before the next clean meal?

Well, ok, maybe not, heh. However body, especially at the cellular level, is very insensitive to particular macronutrient intake, all that matters is the amount of energy - this is the only discernible property of food for your body. As such all that matters is whether the source of energy is hyper-, hypo- or adequately caloric for your needs. If it's hypercaloric (overeating) - result: oversaturation of existing adipocytes and additional adipocyte production (amount of additional fat stored will be dependent on how efficient your body is at utilizing food - ie your metabolism). But your diet per se is not screwed up, unless of course you go eating pizzaz and other dirt continually, for a span of days/weeks/months, etc...
 
Actually, a cheat meal now and then can help your metabolism as well as your overall mood

once, maybe twice a week at the most is OK

Although, eating an entire pizza (unless you are talking a bout a personal size one) is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
 
If you are only having 1 cheat meal every 2 weeks, then you are fine and it is actually beneficial.
If you have it early on in the day, then you can continue with your healthy meals until the end of the day. If you have it on later on in the day, then it's up to you to decide whether you are hungry and want to eat more afterwards.
 
If you are only doing this once every two weeks, its not a big deal. I would continue the same eating frequincy after the cheat meal.
 
Eating an entire pizza definately isn't a stretch for me :p. I usually eat an entire one myself because I'm not going to save the rest until the next week ;).

It's good for your mentality, thyroid, etc etc. What I normally do is use the cheat meal as my 2nd PWO meal but it doesn't always work out that way (nor is it necessary). The important thing is to treat yourself occassionally.
 
Altho one large pizza is alot, I think its still fine as long as this cheat doesnt break your clean streak. In other words, dont be dissapointed you cheated and start not giving a fuck.

Personally, Ive grown a guilt factor from experiences like mentioned above and its pretty good at keeping me away from pizza specifically. When I want to cheat I rather do it with a sngle serving food like a big cheese burger.
