im about 5'7" around 180ish. looking to stay tight thru the summer.

its nothing really specific but when i change over from ckd to what im gonna write, what would u say the pros and cons would be?

8am - Protein Shake w/skim milk

10am - 3 egg whites, Turkey on Whole Wheat Toast, 1 banana or Oatmeal (Alternating)

12pm - Scoop of Natty Peanut Butter, piece of fruit, amybe some yogurt

2pm-Turkey and Roast Beef w/Lettuce Tomato and Mustard on a Whole Wheat Wrap. Or Tuna on a Whole Wheat Wrap and a pickle.

5pm - Gym

7pm - Protein Shake (After Gym) - Last Meal

Most of my carbs will come from Whole wheats, and Oats. The milk in my shake.

I will incorporate steamed Veggies, and other lean meats etc..but as a core of my diet, how does this example day look?

Also will be taking in a gallon of water a day, and supplementing with R-ALA and a good Multi vitamin.

This look good? Any advice would help much.

As most stated in the other thread, I would definitely add a PWO meal a little after the shake, as well as a little solid food about 45 minutes before the gym to keep you going. Maybe add some EFA's before bed time. Have you figured out the macros for this diet? I think those might tell the story better.

I don't like this diet. The calories seem very low. I would leave out the milk and bump up the protein. Increase the amount of lean meats, eggs, etc. Also forget the fruit. Fruit contains fructose which is easily converted to bodyfat. I would also eliminate the bread and replace it with yams.

That brings tears to my eyes...I love fruit.

Getting or staying lean ain't easy. I love pizza, but when I'm dieting I sure as hell don't it eat! I know that's extreme, but you get the point.

I don't like meal 2. It seems to completely miss the point. Meal one is also bad. Breakfast should be your best meal. You need real food to be thermic.

Here is something better for meal one and two

1) 5 egg whites one whole egg 3/4 cup oatmeal and one piece of fruit.

2) 5oz. turkey , 1 1/4 cups brown rice and 1 cup broccoli

Also you should have 6 meals not 5 unless i misread your post it looks like your only eating 5 times a day.

Why don't you simply shoot for Maintenance-10% (to give you some playing space) and go for a 50%C, 30%P, 20%F ratio? that should work for most people maintaining. If you want to continue with a cutting diet during the summer (even though you are not cutting), up the Prot and fat a bit and lower the carbs to 25%.

I think that coming out of a CKD, if you up your carbs too fast you will look very puffy (mostly water) so it make take you some 3 weeks to get to maintenance level.
