When's the last time you had a big slice of processed bread? or a big hogie sandwich...omg years right--
I like to make little sandwiches out of fresh baguettes and control the thickness of the slice. I rarely ever cut thicker than 1cm and sometimes end up nearly shaving the top lid usually by accident.
I've also found if you slice on a diagonal, you can make the sandwiches nearly twice as big, so big men don't feel like they're eating children's treats..
Here's an example of the preparation of a plate of maybe 6 mini sandwiches.
Once you have your mini sandwiches laid out, fill them with whatever you like. I did sliced roast chicken with lettuce and thinly sliced cucumbers...a squirt of mayo.
A steak and cheese open faced snack:
A breakfast or anytime grilled ham and cheese with spicy mustard / toasted in a pan:
Here's a colby jack & extra sharp cheese mini slider snack:
Lastly, one of my favorite cheat foods. mini french toast. You take the slice and put it into an egg, creamer or milk, and cinammon mixture for a micro second. flip fast. take out. Cook until slightly browned on both sides in a pan with a little spray or oil in it. I like a nice little slice of butter and a separate cup of sugary syrup to dip each piece into. I know, this is not a low carb, low sugar, healthy meal, but considering the bread could be double the carbs if a full slice, and the syrup could be saturating the slices instead of a controlled, mini dip, its as good as its gonna get.
