*Slept like ish, went to bed after 3 a.m. up at 9 ... (Not supp related, LIFE related... finally made it Grocery Shopping around 11:30 p.m. , then rented two movies, only got in Spanglish...I liked it*

***We are celebrating Big Daddy's Birthday today...which means Birthday Cake/Ice Cream after a feast the Chinese restaurant of his choice...and I will force myself to enjoy every minute.***

Chicken Broccoli with steamed rice, water, etc

One of my Bday presents to my pops was to eat what he considered "normal" for one meal, of course with some cake with ice cream (ok twisted my arm).
Over the course of the day I have been trying to convince him to give me 4 weeks to help change his life, without having to workout...his excuse "I don't eat the foods you like..."

Hmm, ok, Oatmeal? Eggs? Cheese? Banana/Rasp/Straw/Blueberry "Smoothie" ? Almonds? Potato (he prefers Sweet)? etc...

Cheat/Reward Meals.....sure...they are all fine and dandy...but the Last month or so has been very hard for me...I often feel I am beginning to crumble as I watch my loved ones eat/smoke/drink his/her life away, at least it seems that way to me. Without getting into too much detail, I am finally just logging this for reference to myself to reflect on I suppose, maybe it will feel better to write it down, then these thoughts being on constant 'replay' in my mind...daily

I will never give up hope on those I care about, and I will always try to be supportive...Only they can make the change, but I want to be that CHANGE they see within themselves to life a happier, healthier and longer life.

*sigh*

Going to watch a movie with the fam and put back on my game face...

Just wanted to say hi. Upon reading your reflection, I know exactly what you mean. The serenity prayer helps me during times like that:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Maybe if too will help bring some inner peace at the very least to ya. Keep ya head up girl, things will get better.
