Best times to eat carbs.

From what i have read, the best times to eat carbs is with a PW shake and PW meal. I heard that the first meal of the day should be high in carbs also, but im not sure of this, or why it would be important.

I usually take in carbs like an apple before a workout also.

When I get back to bulking i will be eating only as many carbs as I need to gain muscle. I was planning on having <25g of carbs with each meal except for PW shake and meal, and with those I would have 40-50gs of carbs with ALA.

I will be eating <20g carbs with each meal because I have heard that you need a certian ammount of carbs to absorb the protein you eat, Is that true?

When else should would it be benneficial to take in carbs. I am carb sensitive, and want to stay as lean as possible while bulking.

if youre carb sensitive.. only eat carbs after your workout... pre workout eat some fruit...

throughout the day before your workout.. do a keto diet.. and on non workout days do the same... (you can have some carbs if your running around or hiking or something) ...

but go carb crazy after your workout until you go to sleep... shoot for 300-400g carbs with 100g of them in your PW shake. keep fat reasonabley low at this point (20-30g if you can)... and eat your lb bodyweight in grams of protein.

if you workout in the morning take the next 6-7 hrs after your workout as your carb up... then go keto after that...

hopefully youll be able to gain some muscle and lean out.

good luck

but if I have no carbs, my recovery and muscle gain wont be good, because of the lack of insulin. I was under the impression that If i have no carbs that you really cant gain much muscle.

What you are reffering to is TKD. Leaning out would be a good thing while bulking, but if it comes at the cost of not gaining as much muscle, than i would rather not try to lean out at the same time. Rather I would bulk with as close to zero fat gain as possible, and lean out later.

I was thinking of having minimal carbs throughout the day to keep my body in an anabolic state, rather than keto.

that's not always the best time, but it's surely the most anabolic time to increase potential muscle mass

that sounds fine

I think you might have heard wrong -lots of rumors out there. You dont' need carbs to "absorb" protein.

I would think breakfast and before and after workout would be your 3 best choices

too little carbs and little if any muscle gain will occur due to low insulin levels

if you're really carb-sensitive you can do a 2day low-carb 2 day-refeed type of bulk up where you're able to get benefits of both sides of the food chain - read my Bulking up basics 1,2,3
