Best fighting style is whatever you can use to kick someone's ass. If you're 6'5'' with a huge reach, make muay thai your bread and butter. If you're 5'5'' with some thickness than drill bjj and wrestling until you puke.

There's actually a whole lot of merit in choosing a martial art that compliments your body type; that being said, if you are a tall stringbean, and want to do BJJ, just do it. If you are short and thick, but want to do TKD, hell, just do it. But if your sitting on the fence about a style, take your body type into consideration.
Ahhh..yes, both are very effective styles. I would go with something a bit more discreet than the AR-15 style. Like...Glock26, P2000, or my favorite...the P12
