Before and after pics of my basement room.

GL, a couple questions, is that an acrylic or glass mirror? About how much did it cost you? If you don't mind me asking. :)

Gonelifting I commend you. I know exactly what you have gone through, given that a few years ago I finished my parent's basement for them pretty much all by myself. The space that I finished was around 1000 sq. ft. and it took me around 12 months or so. Everything from studding (used metal studs to save on costs, dust from sawing, and weight), drywalling, electrical (put up potlights as you did, receptacles, etc), plumbing (for a bar and bathroom), flooring (tiling and hardwood), and all the finish work of course. Lots of other things like breaking concrete (fun fun fun), moving the water tank, breaking down walls, etc.

You did an awesome job man!

The workout room is'nt that big. 17 X 25 feet? I don't remember. I'ts definately enough. The other laundry/office is 20 x 14 ft outside dimensions. The whole house is only 17 feet wide. VERY small, but the design makes it look bigger. People can't believe it when they walk INSIDE the house, especially the neighbors who have the smae exact house as mine but way smaller on the inside because of the rehab work/design of the new space.

The mirror is a glass mirror. It was a few years ago, it may have been $300 - $400.

My whole property is less than 40 feet wide. Small small small, hey, I'm just happy I OWN my own house. It's fairly long though, 45 feet long (the house).

Thanks again for the replies.

Here's another tidbit.... I have 5 rooms, 3 bedrooms, LR/DR combo, and Kitchen plus the basement, and I have 6 thermostats in the house. Go figure.

I'm anal about wiring.

I'll post a pic of that if I find it.

LOL with an endless supply of.....MONEY! we could all do that. There was an existing hole for a window there, so I sheetrocked it and stuck a TV in there. That TV is there for my daughter when I do the laundry. We got 6 TV's in the house. Give me a break man!

I did do all the work, except the carpet. I know you're busting chops, though.

I'm also bringing in a plumber to hook up the last connections to the boiler for radiant heat under the kitchen tiles which are directly over that room.

re reading this...

I read that as plumper the first time.. I was like WTF? LOL
