Where's the toilet for box squats?
lmao I almost just threw up when read that

GL, the pics in your other thread that you linked to out of here, I never expected your design taste to be so modern! (the bedroom and living room) what would you say this total demolition cost you on a per square foot basis? (just curious from a construction standpoint since I'm in development).

also, this thread and all the like minded replies from other individuals with the same plans makes me want to buy home depot stock.

Thanks for the info on the mirror. Only one problem I see with your setup. Please tell me that is not a Gazelle folded up in the corner behind the power rack.

LOL With the biggest bubble in housing history... it's a little late for HD stock. But you never know...

Anyway, I have no idea what it cost, especially "square footage" Are you kidding? No you're not, I know, but I never kept track. No need really. Don't even bother, I don't wanna hear it.

I will say I hired day workers for the physical work. The container was in my driveway and we demolished threw everything out the window. It took a long time for that. Every square inch of the place has been replaced NEW EXCEPT the outside walls and kitchen floor. Everything else is replaced. Even the floors, joists and all of the other floors.

It's only about 1600 SF excluding the basement. There was even an addition (which is the basement room and above it two floors) put on in the 50's. and The front porch was open, I enclosed it for my home theater setup to sit in nicely and give me more "breathing room". Opening up the floorplan gave me the spacious look without the space. Even the kitchen is open except for the penisula/counter where you can view the rest of the living space. I love no walls... but had to do a lot of rebuilding for that effect with microlamb and 2 X 12s spanning the whole house so I would'nt need supports/walls.

I used every square inch of space. I was really measuring to the 1/4...1/2 inch of what I could use. It's totally customised to what I want and need. Whole house audio/video system smae for phone system, 2 zone central air/heat, now under tile heating in the kitchen and baseboard heating in the basement and first floor. 6 thermostats as mentioned above, Central vacuum... Over 70 light bulbs in the house! lol 42 circuit panel in the basement and a sub panel upstairs with 12 circuits. 3-ways, 4-ways...everywhere, timers, sensors, alarm system on the doors and motion sensors, with 4 keypads... The whole house has insulation in EVERY SINGLE wall for sound suppression, floors too. I put 3/4 board insulation on the outside of the house ON TOP OF the old house's shingles? and then put my siding on. Used 5/8ths sheetrock everywhere on every wall in the house/basement.

3 bedrooms 2.5 baths. The master bedroom has it's own bath and walk in closet and the other two bedrooms share a bath. boohoo for them. It's a damn 1600sf house and I stuck all that shit in there. Impressive design **pat, pat on my back... lol You really have to see it in person to appreciate it. Small yes, but for the size, it really is impressive.

First time I've EVER picked up a hammer to frame was when I bought the house!

That's really nice work, GL. Nice home gym too. Guess we need to take up a collection to get you a dumbell rack though.

Yes it's a gazelle. We had it in the apartment before moving and just never got rid of it. It was for the wife. Really cheap, like $40-$50 for that. Not the real Gazelle. We could'nt make noise in our old apartment.

LOL I don't want a DB rack. They're too heavy to put on there, I'd rather just keep them on the floor. I don't want them falling on anyone.

We also have an ab roller... lol not in the pic.

The ab roller works great! I have one big roll on my abs.

Again... for the wife, ehh what can I do? I'm whipped. You believe that, don't you?
