Every six months or so I get this idea that I can go to a new person & get a new do because mine wont' do anything, even if I hold a gun on it. It usually looks great when I come back from the salon, but the next day... 1) I can't use a roller brush & a blow drier at the same time w/ the same results, 2) I don't have 20 minutes to spend blow drying & roller brushing. So I got back to the tried & true - flip the head over & dry, flip it back, brush & spray it into place & hope it stays. If it doesn't, that's what baseball caps are for. I look totally stupid in a bandana. I sort of look like a lobotomy patient. My hair generally likes to just hang. It isn't heavy enough to hang straight and it has just enough body to not hold a curl. And it's just fine enough that it holds some size & shape for the first 2 hours after I plaster it with spray, but then it dies. And forget any of that "volumizing" stuff. I may as well put motor oil in my hair.
And then let's talk about age. Guess what? I have to go get highlights every 3 months so I can be blonde again. About 2 years ago I started experiencing the thing I've dreaded my whole life - my hair is turning to this color of not-blonde, just like my mom's is. (Sorry mom, no offense.) It's the same look as "didn't wash my hair for a week".
Rant complete.
I have the same hairdo as I did in 2nd grade. (Ok, I moved the part to the side instead of the middle.) I still seek the ultimate hairdo. I guess at least I'm happy my hair isn't falling out.
