Any Recurve Hunters/Archers Here?

I just spent 8 days archery hunting in Wyoming(elk and deer). The hunt was great, I'll post pics when I get a chance. I'm using a new Bowtech this year and love it. I tried the Drenilin and Vectrix XL but went with the bowtech instead. Hunting Elk and Deer are completely different, Have you every hunted Antelope?(that shit is hard)

Yes, pictures! (Even if only your bow setup!)

I've never been hunting yet. I'd like more time practicing and estimating yardage before going out. I don't get much time during the semesters, so it's slow going.

My primary hangup with hunting is that I have absolutely no idea how to skin and gut an animal. I'd probably want to start out with rabbits and small game for practice and experience before going after larger game. I have lots of books about tech bow stuff, setups, stalking and tracking wounded animals, but the few areas about what to do with the kill are vague to me. I should probably get a special video or something.

No man you are off. I grew up on a ranch in Wyo and I think it is mandatory to gut and skin an animal by 10 there, point being is it is very easy. Larger animal(though not too large) are actually easy because there is room to work. I could give you a short pm on a big game(like deer or elk) and you could go out and do it no problem. Now taking care of the meat and processing it yourself are a little more work.

You should get a range finder to practice your yardage. Being all natural and all like you are you might think it is cheating, though almost all bow hunters use them these days. As far as hunting you either have to scout and stock(my harder) or blind hunt. I'm a bit impatient and thus like the stock but usually push more animals than I get. Archery hunting is very hard imo but really the only way to hunt once you start.
