Any big guys in here that compete and can help me out?

Thanks for the advice. Shedding water is not something I normally do or know much about. One of my friends recommended lasix and letro at the end to help get dry. I would much rather just drop test down to 500mg or so a week, than switch to prop.

You have to be careful with the Lasix. There are a lot of guys out there that have ended up in the hospital by not using it correctly. Using letro the last two weeks to really help dry up is pretty standard protocol though. You just have to accept that your libido will be shot during that time.

Subbed. This seems interesting. I'm hoping you place. My bro placed1st in his 1st show and wanted me to join him in his last. Just as the other bros said, it's all about the last 7 days. I know you said you were maintaining inconspicuousness, but just give us a log and a yay or nay for the results. Here's to the underdog.

Montana, thank you for your insight. I understand what you are saying. I think there is a big difference though between getting ready for stage, and getting ready for summer.
Thank you guys for the feedback. Still along ways away from being 7 days out. Have a lot to think about.
Here are some photos. I am not one of those guys that takes pics of himself in the mirror while working out and what not. All I really have on my phone and socially networking is candid photos and me and family and things of that variety. I will upload a few of those. Will get some full body shots for you guys to view this coming week. The first is from a few weeks ago, second is from this summer, and the last is from a few weeks ago as well.

Didn't realize I was talking about getting ready for summer. I was talking about what the pros do.

You seem plenty big. What's the mystery? Lean out and sweat out some water the last few days.

Guys get caught up in the minutea and in the end it doesn't matter. The judges aren't that particular, unless it's the Olympia or the Arnold. They'll give you all a glance and judge pretty much who's the biggest to who's the smallest. Believe me, I've been a part of enough competitions to talk from experience.

I actually agree with Nelson on peak week. Too many guys put emphasis on the final 7 days thinking there is some sort of "magic" that will take place with water, carb, and sodium manipulation, but that's really not the key. The key is to get I to condition. Once you reach that point, anything you do that final week won't make much difference. I believe you should keep from doing too much different the final week, as a lot of guys end up making themselves look worse by making too many changes.

As you said, you don't need to worry about that right now at this point. You have a log way to go, and right now it should just be focused on getting your body composition the way you want it

Yep, and it's usually the case.

I'll quote Big Jim Quinn who regarding contest prep said: "If something is working, don't try to get clever by fine tuning it cause you'll just mess it up."

Thinking of switching to prop so you'll boat less? You might look smaller.

Thinking of using clen? It might be catabolic.

Thinking of using lasix? You might look flat.

Thinking of using a little slin to fill out? You might die.

Thinking of carb loading? You might look smooth.

Just break a good sweat the day before and eat and drink light on the day of the show and then go have fun. Even if you look 2% sharper by doing all the crazy manipulating, it won't make one iota of a difference in the outcome. Shawn Ray and Lee LaBrada always looked perfect -- cut, dense, aesthetic, dry, no weak points -- yet never won. Why? They're not big.

I'm not saying you can be big and fat, but EVERYBODY is in shape. And the bigger guy always wins. Always. (Unless someone is a friend of a judge. That's the reality of these shows.)

Nicely stated.
