is it better to have a half cup of skim milk, 3oz heavy cream, or soy milk before bed mixed with whey? i am also thinkin that doin moderate intensity cardio 3x a week and low carb is better than keto...we need some carbs but not to much to burn fat..am i right?

not exptremely cuttin but want more visible abs'''' thanks'''''

also can you achieve abs while on low carb or does it have to be keto..on low carb is soy milk better than nonfat milk at night/(( half cup)))

Couple of things you gotta know about keto first.

Shoot for ZERO carbs.
Try not eat too many processes foods.
KETO diet burns fat more than any other IMO.

!!!!!..EAT A DIET OF %75 FAT %25 PROTEIN..!!!!!!

Ok, now do you want to do a KETO or CKD variation of KETO??
I think that the CKD variation allows for greater maintaining of muscle and also adding some too in a alot of cases. In the CKD you carb up after going a week in ketosis...Let me know if you would like me to go into that...although im sure you could do a search and find a wealth of info.

On a typical diet your right you do need carbs to furn fat but KETO/CKD is not typical:)

You can achieve visible abs on ANY diet as long as you have trained them so that the abs are there loll...and your bf is low enough...im not sure where you got the idea that you had to do low-carb or keto to get abs??

NO SKIM MILK ON KETO
NO SOY MILK ON KETO
NO MILK PERIOD

If doesnt list the amount of carbs on package of food....and its not fresh meat/oil/fat...then DONT EAT IT....Even if it does, read ingredients cause alot of the "no carb" foods have sugars etc added but they dont list them. If it has sugar, corn syrup, etc..dont eat it. Get some keto-stix from pharm to check ketone levels...it may take up to 4 days to get into keto but after a while your body will get in quicker after carb-up(if doing CKD).

As for the heavy whipping cream its ok...but NOT .5C....that has enough carbs to keep you out or bump you out of ketosis...

Also why not just do BOTH cardio and KETO...your fat loss will be excellent if done right....just keep cals at or below maintence....i do 10 x bw.

Whether you do a keto or just lowered carb diet you should DITCH the milk. No soy milk, No cow's milk. Eat all of your carbs from fresh, fibrous veggies if you do keto. If you are just lowering your carbs then you might add in some WHOLE grains such as oats or brown rice, but no milk.

I suggest not eating any veggies on CKD....Dont risk it....Shoot for ZERO carbs every day. This is how you will maximize fat-loss.

Ummmm fine sal, you do it your way, but I was referring to educated veggie intake such as celery and lettuce which essentially contribute no carbs other than fiber, plus lots of vit A, vit C and potassium which are also good on a keto.

Many different ways to do so. Any of the diets can get you there you just have to go w/ what you can tolerate and what works for you and yes even those that include dairy. I can attest to that.

Serious question, do you find that you lose alot of weight taking a crap after not taking one for so long? I heard you can hold up to 7lbs of crap.

no dairy?

so the general concensus seems to be that no dairy cheese or milk should be taken on this diet? I thought cheese was ok..it has no carbs.
Also, how do you get enough calcium?
