AAS/Roids Are Not Magic!!

There are several studies that demonstrate that muscle is gained at an accelerated rate with AAS regardless of physical activity, provided caloric intake is sufficient.

Likewise, a certain amount of fat can be burned with the use of certain AAS (contrary to popular rhetoric on this board) without any change in exercise habits, although not to the same degree as with muscle building.

To the extent that physiological composition is largely dependent on hormonal issues, I would definitely have to say that steroids play more than a 15% role in this.

For example, if we were to remove the drug regimen from Ronnie Coleman's arsenal, are we to believe that he would come in at about 85% of his best shape?

I doubt it.

Another old school post

It is not the type, dosage, or characteristics of an Anabolic Steroid that will make a difference in your gains.
Gains are 50% diet, 20% training, 15% rest and 15% gear.

Cool, so if I double my gear dosage, I won't have to work out at all! This is the best news yet!

I have to disagree. I know I will get bashed but IMO, steroids are not just for "seasoned vets," pros, etc. I have met people that spent years working out and it wasnt until they added AAS steroids to the mixture that their body really looked extraordinary. I know that steroids are not majic but I do feel they play a larger role than 15%, specially to someone who has just started using them.

The reason that I feel others besides the vets should take advantage of their benefits is because I saw these peoples lives improve drastically, first hand. B/C of their use of AAS, their confident went up, girls found them more attractive, they participated in things that they wouldnt have before, and the change was not just temporary. They have continued to train, maintained most of their gains, and continued to benefit from the improved quality of life. I think that if someone is happy with the way they look and feel, they will live a better, more fulfilling life.

Just my $.02...And Let The Bashing Begin!

I agree 100 per cent!!!! i am not looking to get huge! I have increased my protein & caloric intake somewhat...and still wearing the same size clothes my bodyweight has increased 20 lbs and i'm getting stares and friends are saying i'm jacked but all this would not have been possible without proper nutrition & training!

RADAR

I love the guys in high school and college i knew who started working out during their cycle, put on 20 lbs and then stopped working out post cycle. In the end they just wasted their money, time, and effort just to wind up losing the muscle and get fat.

I dont tell people Ive taken AAS, Because if you do they think youve taken the easy option. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nomater if your on them or not you still have to train just as hard to get the gains. Admitedly you do get 10 times the gains when your on them but its no easier. Ive had many heated arguments with people because they think its the easy option so now I just dont bother saying anything in the first place.

Very true . . . The more I do, the more I realize steroids are not really the answer. Like these pointless questions about whether egyptian or karachi sust will make a newb Mr. O faster?!? :) Diet and training is most of it. If I had to do it all over again I might have stayed natural. Nahhhhhh jk But AAS sure ain't magic, you have to train and eat right daily with any AAS or you're wasting time. Good post!
