5'4.5" 92 pounds male newbie's diet - plz look

I agree with JKurz.

Just frigging eat. Don't worry about fat. That's probably why you're bully-bait now. Don't count calories, just do some short hand every once in a while to see that you are over 2000. But eat everything in site. The only thing to pay attention to at this point is getting 1.5g of protein per lbs, which at your size is a peice of cake.

A protein shake might help you each day, especially after workout (you ARE working out, right?) Online resellers are the best - and price wise the best is Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey at muscledepot.com. GNC is a joke.

Seriiously. Force yourself to eat multiple times a day. That's how the big boys (and me) get it down. I'm at ~3100 calories a day an aming for 4000 soon. You can't do that in three meals, it takes 6-7 spaced throughout the day.

This might be helpful to think about - I eat more than you in the first 30 minutes of being up and youcoud probably do this too.

The protein shake has 230 calories (55g protein), plus 75g of carbs plus 20g of flax seed oil. All relativly cheap and that's 715 calories right there. I run an hour after digestion and then have 50g dextrose and another 75g carbs with another shake, that's 794 calories. So within 4 hours of waking up I've had 1509 calories. See the spreadsheet in my sig if you want to play with some cheap, easy food components.

yes i checked it out. it looks really awesome, especially eating oats and the no cooking diet.
usually i dont eat much (like today) because i didnt want to cook rice, so just cuz i didnt cook rice i didnt eat for like 4-5 hours until someone else cooked something

so i like your diet plan. Unfortunately I am in Canada, and dont have credit card so cant buy from online.

i can get EAS Simply Protein ... is that a good idea?

Sounds good. Make sure your protein per dollar ratio is good. The second page of my spreadsheet samples that.

And don't go 4-5 hours without eating because you don't ahve the energy to make food. Isn't that what is known as a 'vicious cycle?'

i like the chart you mentioned, i am using it
simply protien came out to be 0.059
which is expensive and dont know if i should get it
but i think i will since i KNOW i will get my protein if i dont have to cook stuff

yes i agree on the sndcanada, its just that i dont have credit card right now
maybe ill get some friend to buy it for me and pay him the money or somethign liek that

which protein powder do u like?

I also agree at your weight, eat anything you can find, forget the food pyramid, it is the biggest load of crap ever invented, I cannot believe that someone recommended following this. I never though I would see the day on Elite when someone said this. Sure increase your calories slowly if you want. But unless you want to put on all fat (which you say you don't) then don't eat 55% of you diet as carbs. And eat more than 100g of protein. Eat at a minimum the weight you are shooting for. Want to weigh 200? Eat 200g of protein a day minimum.

Frigging food pyramid. I cannot believe it.

Sounds like the dream diet to me. Unfortunately I would think that one would gain much more fat then nessesary, and then have to lose it later, thus taking longer to achieve a desired body, not to mention looking shabby the whole time while bulking.

The whole idea is to create a body that is lean and aesthetically pleasing to look at. You want to have washboard abs and a toned figure that people admire and are jealous of, not look like someone who weight lifts and can't stop binge eating.

As well as being the most diverse eating plan, the Food Guide Pyramid is also the most researched and tested system of eating ever. It's the consists of most healthy and up to date information one can get.

I have not seen one bodybuilder eating system that has gathered a general consensus with a significant amount of 'knowledgeable' people with studies and proof that it actually works better then the Food Guide Pyramid. The reason for this is there is no 'natural' bodybuilder eating system to give any better results then this system.

Prove to me that eating 55% carbs will make a person gain weight.

How much muscle do you expect a person to gain? He's not on roids!!! He can expect to gain only around 10-15 lbs (20 if he's lucky and gifted) of muscle his first year, and much less each other year, at diminishing returns. I can see no way that he (or anyone else for that matter) can naturally gain 100 lbs of mass in a lifetime. If it has happened it most likely was due to an excellent genetic makeup and/or steroids.

The food pyramid, the most researched and tested huh? I guess that is why america is full of fat asses?

You see no way that a person can gain 100lbs of mass in a lifetime? We all do it silly, its called growing up. He said he is a teenager, he has a lot of growing left to go, he could easily put on 100 lbs in the next 3 years, counting bone growth, etc. My protein suggestion is right on the money. I am not going to get into a flame war here, so I am going to leave it at this. Let him decide for himself who to listen to, either way, I dont really care.
