2nd week update.. keto rocks

W6, I'm gonna have to disagree, it takes at least two days to deplete the muscle glycogen, and after that the ketones provide an awesome energy source, btw, i train like a mofo, so it can't be that.
 
the diet works and if you do it right its amazing...if you do the regular 5 day keto 2 day carb up or 6 day keto 1 day carb up...(carb day should be TONS of carbs LOW fat and high protein) you will have the needed energy in the gym..the acutual workout week is only 3 days...so mon/tue/wed...by tuesday you still have circulating glucose from the carb up, by wednesday you should be pretty much depleted again if you worked out hard enough..........thur, fri, sat and sun..you do no weights so no need to worry about the lack of muscle gycogen and subesquent catabolic state you *may* be in (i say may because some people say ketones and/or ketosis is anticataboic in and of itself)... my experience with the carb up was.. for 2 days after carb up i was still having INSANE pumps and strength in the gym.. i even set personal bests in the gym with different lifts...all on low carbs and at 7am in the morning...the carb up is insane, and i used to always get psyched for the workout the day after carb up...usually did chest, back and tris that day.

oh and tuesday was shldrs and tris. wed was legs.

but of course you can skip the carb ups, and just do pre and/or post workout carbs. and maybe carb up once every 2 weeks or so.

plus i am on gh and 10mg of var and mad eca.. and my lifts are still cool..
i go light 2 sets with one heavy set and train 4 days a week..

Lyle McDonald has a book out explaining the cyclical keto diet with carb up days etc.. great reading, although i just had some friends that worked with him on that book help me...

but so far so good..

You totally heard wrong!!! i date a monster, but i am not one lol

i am competing in figure..i am currently 5'5 135 16.5% bf.. that was at the beginning of week 4..

still doing keto.. 5 down, 2 up.. still training heavy (2 sets of 15 reps, 3rd set of 6 reps) strength is up nicely and i am not losing muscle, just bodyfat.. haven't started any cardio yet either.. waiting til like week 8..

so i am only a monster at heart and in bed :D hehehee

i will post some progress pics soon.. i promise
