...why do women assume "sugar free" = calorie free????

Anyone???

Oh like men don't make that same assumption?

I guess it comes from the same school of thought as the "because it says FAT FREE then that means that I can eat twice as much".

tee-hee

b/c ppl are idiots when it comes to food. Just like Bmom said about fat free stuff (eat as MUCH as you want - again, as if it were calorie free) & anything with fat is bad, & carbs are evil & that's what makes us fat. & since fat is evil & carbs are evil then anything with protein is good & we can eat as much of THAT as we want.

Are you asking about sugar free foods OR the sugar itself (Splenda, etc...)?

What would gender have to do with it? (rhetorical question)

...because men seem to not make that assumption NEARLY as much as women.

don't get me wrong - men have a slew of "problems" that only men seem to have.

...the sugar free thing seems to be targeted to and from women though - just an observation......

btw - sugar free foods.......

Both men and women not only are stupid enough to beleive that but they actually think that sugar free is actually really SUGAR FREE...lol..biggest scam thats been going on.

Lets take "sugar free" jello pudding for instance..each serving has 8 gms of carbs but "no sugar"..lets read into this a little further...the main or only carb ingredient is...drum role please....MALTODEXTRIN....which even though is a "glucose polymer" (big words to impress the general public) it is still a sugar none the less with a gylcemic index of about 50 or more points higher than the table sugar that is in sugar based products...so your sugar free WHATEVER is NOT sugar free..UNLESS it contains nutrasweet and has ZERO calories.

I'd say the sex linakge comes from the fact that most sugar-free foods have traditionally been marketed at women.

Wyst

Sugar Free Jello Pudding the hyprocrasy :( and I thought that it was sugar I feel duped... drat I should have known better Maltodextrin??? I always questioned that..... k now what I would use that to blunt a craving at my special time of the month
:bawling:

CC :D

I will answer it anways. Surprise.

Because guys are a whole 'nother sort of stupid.

Differentiating between sugar and calories is not a function of the testicles, so the thought never occurs to us. Simple.

Yep.

Men are too concerned with trivial matters such as ....holy Glutes Batman - look at dat ass on Spats.

Web link please????
