Why would 5lb db press be too hard?

5lb db's dont require that much at all. Yea the balance is hard but the weight is so light i bet 1 year old nephew could push them up no joke[/QUOTE]

why bring up discussion topics where you ask questions just to question someone who has an idea why you might be encountering what you are? its obvious you are completely green to training clients. maybe listening to those who have more experience in the gym than you might benefit you. just a thought. you want to know why they complained, see my original post. its all there. you think im wrong, thats cool. you really dont understand what your doing than.

they complained because they arent willing to push themselves. They said they were too hard. Well the only way to get better at them is to keep doing it. You dont take shortcuts in life, or in the weight room. IM not fuckin tellin them to put the 50's up jeez..

If there is no injury then you shouldnt be complaining about 5lbs. Should I have put them on there with 2.5lb plates instead? Or have them stay to machines so they feel like they are doing something when they really arent?

I was just asking how it was possible that it would be too hard to lift 5lbs. Since they didnt have perfect form and didnt feel 100% comfortable with the lift yet right away they complained.

Reminds me of 2 kinds of people. both of them have an injury.

One says, my ankle hurt so I cant do cardio.

The other say my ankle hurts, but I really want to get my cardio in. Is there anytihng I can do to still get the dcardio benmefit without further injuring my foot?

Some people just dont want to push themselves, and I vented on here lol

Alot of inexperienced people probably believe machines are better so on your first time with them explain why the majority of the exercises you are showing them are with free weights and also at the end of your sessions try and get some feedback from them on what they thought of the session. Who knows a couple of the clients that you lossed may have asked "hey, why dont we use the machines?". I have never booked a PT before and I often wonder if they stress how important diet is in regards to there results. So when there not getting the results they want they have only themselves to blame. IMO Being hard on them and giving them im not here to be your mommy and you will train this way might get you a selective group of clients that fit the group you would like to train but at the end of the day your there to make money.

yea i completely agree, when they are like that its better to just be easy on them so i keep gettin the money. I just want people to get results. BUt money is probably more important lol

no joke, i had my 2 1/2 year old nephew doing 5 lb dumbbells presses for reps as a funny video.

They are just pathetic and will not get results because their mind isn't in the right place.

"it's too hard"

bitch, please. I can curl 5 pounds with my boner, so that aint nuttin.
it's supposed to be difficult. The 6-minute abs is bullshit. If you wanna look good you gotta bust your ass.

People just don't get it.

lmao
