If I could figure a way to not have to deal with bullshit like local real estate taxes, I really wouldn't mind. I've done gardening and farming on a small scale, I've raised large animals. Living with the cycles of the land has it's own pleasure. T.V. and internets are highly overrated.

The bitch of it is the fucking real estate taxes. Assuming you have enough money to purchase outright a small farm with sufficient acreage to be self sustaining and a well, you still have to produce enough to feed yourself and your animals AND then you have to pay for your fucking land every year.

you ever need a farm hand or somethin......... :qt:

jus sayin.......rawr..........

You know. Goat drawn carriages and such. :cow:

Even as last as 1900, cities were very unpleasant places to live b/c we used horses for transportation. Dead horses and horse shit were everywhere, constantly.

No thanks.

Plague, death from an infected paper cut, no refridgeration meant eating rotten food NEARLY EVERY DAY, lice, vermin, no justice of any measure... did I mention slow, rotting, spirit sucking, soul crushing death as the norm? Oh, and if you were lucky enough to live in a lowland country, or 'the marshes' in Britain, you were almost guaranteed to have malaria, so befor said rotting death you could look forward to YEARS of intermittant fevers and nausea/rhea that lasted for weeks at a time and could come back any time without warning?

These are the 'good ol' days', there was no golden age: it's now.
