i have no idea either. I 'think' there needs to be some kind of physical association between the 2 of you before you start talking (ie same class, same friends, same work, etc) or they will reject you flat out. So that cuts me down to pretty much no options. Damn.

Don't feel bad

today, I was at a music store and a this hot chick. I told myself, I can't leave without at least trying to talk to her. I walked to the isle where she was and got near her, but then I couldn't think of anything to say, so I didn't say anything. I left pissed at myself for being such a pussy. She looked like a hot lay too.

In your experience do strange women like being approached like that? I thought most strange women (especially attractive women) were really haughty and standoffish.
 
clinics for drug abuse and eating disorders - chicks there are usually filthy rich, real hot, like to party, and easy to manipulate due to their multiple mental deficiencies and afflictions :o

classes, coffee shops, gyms are overrated - people there are just too mundane, 'normal', no eccentricities=boring, whatever..
 
I am not "in the game" anymore, but I see lots of attractive people at work (clients) and when I am out shopping. Definately not at school (accounting major) hahaha!

I've tried to talk to some chicks that turned out to be snooty ass bitches, then I've walked up to some that turned out to be great payoff to the risk.

In your experience, would you say most are haughty and supercilious or are they open to the idea? Do you approach really attractive women, attractive women, plain women or what? This is mainly why i dont approach women, i wait for them to approach me (or give signs) so i don't get out much as a result.

key is to be confident and make eye contact ( u can tell if she into u right away

also if u approach a strange chic and u want to talk to her

ask her a question or say her out fit looks nice or something...key is keep talkin! eye contact

It's always easier to hit up women in social places/events, but that is where I find women to be more stuck up (but not always). Thats probably because they are being hit on by every drunk/horny guy in the place.
In my experience, women aren't as stand offish in regular settings and are usually flattered. The chicks that I have actually had the balls to walk up to have generally been accepting of it and I've had some good long term romances out of it, one that I met this way even became the love of my life (now an ex). Of course I will tell you that all the women I have tried to talk are hot, because if I got the interest to try to talk to them, i obviously found them attractive but remmeber, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am probably more likely to talk to women I find less attractive at clubs and parties than I would at places like the market or music store.

You really have to go to some upscale places to meet real women. Places like Hotel Bars(very popular), lounges, outdoor cafes. Regular bars all you'll find are teases. Girls who want to play games. Fuck that shit, if I want games i'll babysit my nephews for the day.

Also don't forget about the supermarket and laundry day.

I work in a bar, and I've come to the conclusion that I HATE all the women I meet there. I no longer have a social life outside of work, so I'm fucked for other female-meeting opportunities, and I simply refuse to get involved with co-workers.

It's a good thing that I'm old and don't care anymore...
 
Db, i work part time at a bar as well. I am totally turned off by any customer who i see there on a regular basis spending their time and money guzzling liquor. I am never flattered when a drunk or semi drunk customer hits on me. Unless a hot guy comes in and drinks water all night, I would not be interested. NO way.

I've only met ONE girl at a bar that I ended up dating, everything else was just hooking up for fucking and then you sober up (or she does) and go "god damnit!"

Do you play any sports? Join a sports league like volleyball or softball.. (co-ed is the key here).

Book clubs? I know that sounds gay, but women love a guy with an intellectual side.

The beach is a popular one for me here in San Diego.

Through friends? This is by far the way I have met the majority of women I have dated. Friends of friends of friends can often times get you into situations where you end up meeting someone cool who you otherwise never would have.

I dunno if that makes sense, but the first girl I ever really loved.. I met her because this guy I knew from a friend in college had a girlfriend in Phoenix.. she came out to visit and she met me and said "I have a friend who'd be perfect for you back home! Too bad she is taken though"..

well a month or so later this girl broke up so the next time my buddies girlfriend came back she brought her friend! We had a chance to talk briefly a couple days before.. but it was instant chemistry and we edned up dating off and on for 3 years.

She recently just got married to the guy she started seeing right as we broke up. That always sucks.

I have to agree with the Hotel bar and upscale lounge sentiment. Thompson Hotel, Hudson Hotel, and lounges in the W are great places to meet girls. Another really good one is in Starbucks, I read a book at a table in a busy one, everytime I meet someone, not always my ideal girl, but asking what someone's book is about is an easy conversation starter. The hardest part about meeting someone is what to say during the initial approach....
