When you made the switch from 3 square meals a day?

I need to hear some real world experiences from people about when they decided to eat 6-8 times a day on a very consistent basis.

what really happend to your body that made you KNOW this was THE WAY for you from that point on?

while many who know preach the 6 meals a day, the "full of shitters" also preach it.

Thanks

When i was a teenager i did so.
I was a natural bodybuilder back then.

Now i only do more than 3 meals during a bulking cycle.

...about 3 or 4 years ago... im pretty consistent... a realy bad day im still getting in 4 meals...
...now with making my meals larger... (in the last year) more nutritious.. and eating lots of beef... that has taken it up a couple notches... and cutting out soda and replacing with water made a huge difference as well...

I changed mine about 10yrs ago and it only took a few weeks for me to see this was the right way for me. I eat 10 times a day and have been for the last 2 yrs!!! It takes me more time to plan my diet than my cycles!!

i eat 6-7x a day. been 2 years now. what made me know was the fact that I saw the most changes in my body during this 2 years than ever b4. i was working out and eating 3 meals a day and not really tracking what i was eating. once i began using fitday and really paying attention and eating every 2-3 hours, the transformation was really plain to see. give it a try for 12 weeks. you'll be impressed.

I agree with gettinripped...nutrition plays a big role in making quality gains in the gym. I eat 6 meals a day and pay real close attention to pre and post workout meals. I think these are really important in giving energy during the workout and helping recover after a workout. Eating a lot of beef/red meat (2lbs a day) has also helped me put on bunch of muscle and increased power. I won't ever go below 4 meals a day.

started the year round diet over 6 years ago. the first year wasnt easy, alot of trial and error. now i am tuned like a watch. very easy and very efficient for holding alot of lean body mass. best thing i ever did with my life, besides marry my wife.
