What I hate about weight room etiquette

Cell phones, cell phones, cell phones. If you need to talk on the phone then please leave the weight room.

any guy who carries his cell phone around is pussy whipped bigtime.

"honey where are you?"
"at the gym"
"when are you coming home?"
"soon"

5 minutes later

"are you almost done, I'm bored"
"no I am only on my 2nd set"
"well how many sets are you doing?"
"I will cut my workout short and be there soon"

To be fair, I'm a lawyer and I basically have to have my phone with me all the time, I tend not to talk on it much in the gym but I do need to have it with me.

Another one is the guy who slams the weight at every excercise he does. Hard fast jerking motion that makes my back hurt just watching. We have one inparticular we call Maxx Torque. Fukin knob.

Or the guy who wears a belt for every excercise, and it's loose as hell.

and the one i hate the most is the people who smoke right outside the gym door. i actually blasted a guy for doing that one time. i told him "dont you think its poor etiquette to be smoking right outside the doors?" no one wants to have a whiff of your toxins coming out of your lungs as we walk out of the gym and are sucking air.

I think I changed my mind, and this is WORSE than the barbell slamming. And the smokers are belligerent about it, as if you're the bad guy for not smoking. I think they do it on purpose because they're sore about not being allowed to destroy the air INside the building. Some places (not necessarily gyms), have signs "NO smoking within 10 feet of door", but there is often a crowd of smokers standing exactly 10 feet and a quarter inch from the door, and they always just happen to be standing upwind, and there always seems to be a vacuum in the building to suck the smoke right in. Ugh!

Doctors, lawyers, and volunteer firefighters I understand... I object to people just jibber-jabbering in public places (the gym included), shouting about things like who's coming or not coming to golf next weekend, or women at top volume discussing PMS and how Walgreen's has a better price on Tampax than Long's does, etc.

I've seen quite a few weightlifting accident videos and that may be one of the greatest Ive seen haha! Thanks for sharing I still dont even quite understand how that happened...did he just let go of the bar?

Haha that guy need's to work on his grip.

One thing I hate is the bigger heavier set girls wearing skin tight clothing all whore up. Like really do I have to see you gunt hanging out all because your shirt is a size small.

I don't hate this, but it sometime break's my concentration. Girls in really good shape wearing tight little spandex and just a sports bra cruising around with rock hard nipples.

There has been times where I pump my self all up to do to a heavy ass squat/dl. Goto get under or grab the bar. Look in the mirror and see a girl, rock hard nips and tight body at the station next to me.

LOL@ gunt, jesse_01...
I think the only thing that really bugs me is when the gym is almost empty, just me and some other person, and they ask to work in on whatever I'm using at the time. Really? You can't just do something else for five minutes or whatever? If it were busy I'd understand, but not when its dead.
