my take on the qoute is that 4 reps past failure...

meaning he fails on 8, then gets another 4 reps (somehow).

I heard arnold say he would go past failure for 2 reps...I do this as much as I can. I burn out and then have my workout partner spot for 2 more reps. 4 more reps is just that more insane...prolly why hes a pro and Im not :rolleyes:

on the TUT - the theory is that one super slow rep of 30 seconds is equivalent to 5 reps with a 3-3 cadence....that's the theory....

that could be the reason why you can only do 1 more.

weight 15-20 seconds........ this comes from the theory that you regain 60% of strength back within the first intial 20 seconds.

Yea, if he tells you something in person it may not be too bad but most of the stuff in magazines(I am assuming thats where you got that from) is garbage or stuff everyone already knows.
