Hi, I have a problem where i am waking up all night (well every 2-3 hours) needing to go to the toilet to take a piss. I cut water consumption 4 hours prior to going to sleep and wonder whether this could be protein overdose.
I'm consuming about 280 grams of protein, on a gaining diet, and am only 5'6 and 70kg. however, this 280 represents about 30% of my calorie intake (3500-700) (I'm eating about 50 Carb, 30% protein and 20% fat). This may seem like a lot of calories for my size, but following it for 4 weeks, I have no gained fat (indeed, am debating whether to increase to 4000 calories)
Do you think this pissing could be excessive protein related? If I was to cut protein, do I up carbs or fat?
