I also fight, bro. Try running Test E (250mgs ew sounds good), but kick start it with T-bol for 4 weeks. Good cycle, good gains, shouldn't affect you cardio (T-bol usually helps mine a little). That said, Var is my favorite, but I don't think it is worth running alone, at least not for what your looking for.
It's going to depend on how your body reacts. Every 17AA I've tried has given me back cramps and shin splints and turned even a brisk walk into something to be avoided.

if you are going to use aas then why dont you make the better of the situation. if putting mass is your goal, there is better stuff with less sides. anavar and tbol are hard on the lipids. look att that post ( i thougt it was dieselgunz who post it a couple of days ago) about test results and tbol.
OMG some people just say shit without reading the post. he is a mma figher. have you ever fought or wrestled people, 3 minutes and you want to puke everywhere. mad props for mma fighters. eq is a god send for mma as well as var. if you had told me before you were fighting i wouldn't even tell you to try tbol even though i love it. var is gonna increase strength the most and strengthen joints and tendons. run the var at a decent dose 60mg or more and rock out with your cock out. dbol is a horrible choice for a figher, with its water retention it is horrible for endurance, i can't even walk up stairs on dbol or test for that matter. my boy in AZ fights mma, got him on eq and var he was out lasting every fighter in his gym within two weeks.
Hey bro, I compete in a little MMA (whenever it comes to my state) but mostly Jiu-Jitsu. In my opinion, you wanna definately stay away from dbol. Tbol is good if you're looking for a little strength gain with little weight gain, especially if your dropping weight. I used it to cut down to my fighting weight and it definately helped me keep muscle mass and my cardio was never better. Never tried Var so I can't comment on it, but I'm sure Bruce410 knows what he's talking about. Good luck
