Whats up all. Setting myself up with a personal goal. Here are some stats and goals.

6'1" 170lbs 21 years old bf +- 13

begginer lifter, new to this type of environment. I just finished making a routine as far as diet and working out.

Goal 200-210, bf +-11
Would like to hit this about xmas 2003, so that is about 15 months.

30-40lbs in little less than 1.5 yrs of training and eating for a begginer, is this unrealistic???????

Let me know what I am getting myself into....

I don't think that is unrealistic at all, especially due to the fact that you are just starting to train. I gained about 40lbs the first year I started lifting, and that wasnt even intelligent training or dieting. I just thew weights around any which way, and I grew. You will probably approach it much wiser then I did, and see great results!!! Good luck! (I weighed just about 150lbs or so when I started 6yrs ago, and Im about 230-235lbs as of now, and I would say I made two huge weight/mass jumps and one of those was that first year)

You can definitly make those gains in 15 months.. Like BlkWS6 said, you will make great gains as a beginner especially if you have your diet down... Since you already have that planned out why don't you post it on here so we can take a look at it.. Similiar to BlkWS6 I began working out almost 6 years ago at a bodyweight of 135 @ 6ft tall.. And Have since gone as heavy as 262 at about 15% bf... And currently 230 @ about 11%... And as I'm sure everyone here will tell you, diet is the key to seeing results...
