Unflavored Protein??

p.b.

Banned
Has anyone ever had unflavored protein before that can give me an opinion about it? I usually get 10 lbs of protein at a time from allthewhey and I get the chocolate flavor usually. When I take my protein shakes though I just like to chug them real quick and get it down and the chocolate kinda has a strong after taste I was wondering if the unflavored protein had some kind of strong aftertaste too.

For me i've been using Designer Whey; I've tried strawberry, vanillah and chocolate and they all taste good to me; Try adding a bannana and mixing it in the blender if you want to sweeten the taste.

If you use unflavored Whey Protien make sure the hydrolisate has a natural inate sweetness to it.

Some TASTE HORRID unflavored while others taste like nothing and are great with anything.

Bump on this.....I once bought a 50lb bag of unflavored whey without the natural inate sweetness and it was the most miserable 6 months of my life.......

I gave the last 20 lbs away.....absolutey miserable stuff.....I tried mixing it with a banana and stuff and it didn't help at all.

Who knows.....maybe it won't bother you.... :p

I actually get the All the Whey unflavored whey isolate. I'll never get the flavored stuff again. You can drink it totally plain, even in a glass of water, and it's not unpleasant (just sort of like skim milk really).

The aftertaste you're talking about is the artificial sweeteners.

But the best part about unflavored whey is you're not STUCK with 10 lbs. of one flavor, you can mix up your own flavors, particularly if you have a little flexibility with your carbs you can add frozen fruit, etc. You can always pick up cocoa powder, vanilla extract, etc., use that plus the low cal sweetener of your choice to do the traditional flavor.

what brand?

I've used jamieson or swiss(can't remember which). It tasted like crap by itself and even mixing it didn't really help. Only positive, it was a really cheap whey(get it) to get your protein intake
