Trying to get my diet in check.

I'm 16 yrs old, 6ft 2in and only 160/165 lbs. (When I was younger I didn't really eat properly, I was missing meals but still running for an hour & that kind of fucked me up & wasted away a bit of my muscle) I'm looking to get as big as I can & need some advice on what to eat, supplements ETC.

Breakfast 7:50 AM: Homemade granola: contains alot of oats, raisons, cranberrys, syrup/honey & served with milk. (I'm going to try to get some unflavoured protein powder to mix through it.)

Mid morning 10:50 AM: Oaty breakfast bar - not quite sure what to put here as I only have 20 mins break at school.

Lunch: 1:10 PM: Chicken breast with bacon, rice & veg.

home: around 3:45: Not quite sure, i'm thinking of fish with some veg & mini potato

Pre wo: 5:00 PM Shake

workout - 6:00 PM 5x5 1 hr

post wo - 7:00 PM shake

Dinner, usualy what ever the parents are making, usually has meat with some kind of rice/pasta.

Also have multi vits, amino acids & a vitamin C supp. Do natural test boosters work? i've heard differing things. What about ZMA caps?

I'm thinking about a slow digesting shake before bed. Any advice is welcomed and needed!

5 years ago i was exactly the same build as you, just 2 inches shorter. im guessing you, like me are also naturally very lean? and what i can tell you, at 16 years old, thinking about starting to build your body sensibly with the right nutrition is very good.
yeah, your diet from that looks pretty good, but with your 20 min break at school, along with that oat bar, take the pre work out shake, you can keep it dry in a flask then mix it. and for pre work out, have a ham omelette, and dont be afraid to throw a bit of cheese in there aswell! eat it about 60-90 mins before you work out though, you want those amino's available to your work out ravaged muscles, not just sitting in your stomach digesting while you lift. keep this up until you are 21, and you my friend will have a really nice build, and have a perfect foundation should you choose to pursue putting on serious muscle.

Thanks alot for the help, I don't really have much fat & i'm naturally quite broad shouldered & big boned. Thanks for the tips West!
