Torture excercises: What do you do?

Please don't take this the wrong way but I think you shouldn't do this. You already have health problems and doing these kinds of tests on yourself could just end up making it worse. Why don't you just try to channel all that effort you would put on trying to live on water and just lift weights and absolutely destroy them each time you workout, while eating healthy and sleeping alot. That would be alot better for you. Only do this if you're doctor says it OK though and it won't affect your heart.
You are so nice to be concerned, but you must understand that I laugh at shit like this. Absolutely no offense intended. Your a great guy for doing what you do and I respect you for that.. It fuels me.

You just reminded me of another torture technique: Hanging from a bar as long as possible. :D
 
No offense taken :) Maybe you should try becoming a Navy SEAL. :D Seriously it sounds like you have the personality to go through the training necessary.
 
Actually there's nothing medically serious about missing sleep. Perhaps the worst side effect is a depressed immune system, but that's as bad as it gets.

This one kid stayed awake 11 days as part of a research study. When he finally fell asleep he awoke 15 hours later and felt fine. No ill effect.

I've got attention deficit disorder so my memory is not up-to-par, albeit I have been in the navy reserve. Also remember my bad back and legs, and I would have to be an American citizen for at least 4 years. Not worth it. Besides I don't 'need' no officer yelling at me do cruel things, I do that all by myself (I don't yell though.)

The record for the longest period without sleep is 18 days, 21 hours, 40 minutes during a rocking chair marathon. Recovered just fine.
 
Torture is a staggered set: front squats/chins, with very short breaks
How about doing 1 1/2 rib-expansion squats supersetted with pullovers- Go down half way, breath in and out hard twice. Balistically raise to starting position. Go down all the way, breath in and out hard and fast 3 times. Fire up. This is one rep. Repeat 12 - 20 times. Run to a bench to do 'heavy' pullovers. Do 6-10 reps. Fucken 'give'r!' Keep alternating with no break till you feel sick. Have a bucket near by...

Done right your ribs should be sore in the morning. Mine were!

no, you're a masochist. 'Hard core' is when you're willing to endure pain TO ACHIEVE A GOAL. Masochism is when pain IS the goal.
