The "You" Thread

Dude getting big requires eating big. For skinny people eating should be like a full time job. If you want to get big badly you'll make the time to prepare and eat the food. You need to start counting your calories. I bet your barely gettin more than 2000 maybe even less than that on some days. You should be eating at LEAST 3000 a day.

I dont have time either backlash, thats why I use the n-large.

I had a different diet where I ate egg sandwiches in the morning and had an n-large shake instead of my first protien bar.

The thing is, I am gaining weight now. I gained about 16 lbs since January and I havent maintained my diet very well.

I added up my diet before I switched to the shake first thing and it was over 400g protien and just shy of 6000 calories. I know it would be a little lower now, but not that much I dont think.

I really cant break out a meal at work and eat it, but I can drink a shake or have a protien bar and be ok.

Im not sure I understand why it matters whether I get my prot/carbs/fat from sups or real meals, it is all used the same. I eat 3 real meals a day and have 4 supplemented.

I can post the details if I need to and rework it show exactly how much, but it will have to wait until this evening.

Hmm, crap, ok. How do you guys eat more while you're at work (or school, depending on age)? I guess I could make a bunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and eat those all day...

BTW, didn't mean to hijack your thread Lee. Sorry about that. I just really want to gain some weight!

im glad u did, so we can help you.

for me, im still in high school, and i pack 2 pbjs, an apple, and a banana for lunch. for breakfast i have 3 eggs, 2 bowls of cereal or 1 bowl of oatmeal, 3 pieces of toast, and a pot of coffee. after school i have 3 more eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and some more coffee. then post workout i have a huge dinner, not always the same thing, but always meat and veggies of some sort, usually around 600 or 700 cals. and before bed i have another apple or banana and some more cereal. i should be eatting more but this is all i can manage, im constantly full all day.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I'm not really full all day. I get hungry, but I look around me at work and there's nothing to eat :p.

I did leave an extra sandwich off my list, which I usually eat between lunch and dinner sometime (I just finished a pbj). I guess I'll just try taking more pbj's to work and eating more at dinner for now.

Main problem is I eat very very slowly b/c I like to really thoroughly chew my food. In general that's good for you, but not if you're trying to eat like a horse. I sometimes get sick of eating before I even get full. I weighed 176 this morning post-workout pre-breakfast. Let's see how much I can eat for the rest of the week and check back Monday...

bring something, u must eat.

whenever you're hungry, eat someting, you gotta keep your body fed and have proper nutrients avaliable for your muscles. dieting is the key in bodybuilding, without a proper diet youll never grow.

I dont even drink protien powders anymore, I just eat allot, works better IMO

Same here. I found that once I stopped taking Nlarge and starting eat more to compensate for the protein I started gaining like a mad man. Dont rely on the protein

I put on way too much fat when eating lots, I have to watch my food and when I eat it. I'd turn into this otherwise...

I eat lots to bulk up.

If I keep my carb intake moderate, I don't gain too much fat. Those weight gain powders are full of sugar, I just use regular protein powder. I try to eat real food, but sometimes when you're pushed for time a shake works.
