today was my squat day and this training week i am starting 3x3 with squats. i used 315 for my work sets. this should be EASY for me to get 3x3 (my 5rm is probably around 335 or so), as i intend to work up with progressive resistance. well, my first set was way more difficult than it should have been, as the third rep was a slight struggle. i also felt some discomfort at the top of my front thighs right up near my hip. during my second set, the first two reps presented the same problem, but since i was expecting it i was trying to figure out what i was doing wrong just by feel. i wasn't pushing my hips far enough back. the third rep of the second set i was much better. the third set i got the groove back and got my hips back far enough; it felt so good compared to the previous two sets, i put up six reps for the hell of it. :)

and after a bit more quad work, i am here writing this. and boy am i beat!

nice man. i find it hilarious when people at the gym are doing lifts completely wrong and they refuse to take advice. I saw some guy doing standing curls with an ez bar and he was forcin it up with his back and shoulders, so i tried to explain how he wasnt helping himself at all and showed him the right form and he got offended.... but whatever, if he wants to stay weak and lookin like a fool thats his deal.

heh. i never help people in the gym, except for those i personally know or unless someone asks me specifically for some advice (but those are usually people i personally know). if i was such a saint and tried to help those in the gym who needed it, i wouldn't be able to do anything else!!! :(

i only helped cuz i waitin to use the bar, lol. he was struggling on standing curl with a 25 on each side, hehe. i just felt bad for him. although im not super strong myself, i can at least do standing curls with a 45 on each side. and im only 17.

form is everything, with proper form the lift is harder since you don't need to cheat. But the results speak for themselves. BTW good recovery on the squats, if I feel the form is wrong I go back down to 135 and work back up trying to concentrate on my form the whole time
